I mentioned Discord a few times as a company that started off with little revenue but an incredibly high valuation. Just one example.
What is Discord?
Discord is an American VoIP, instant messaging and digital distribution platform designed for creating communities. Users communicate with voice calls, video calls, text messaging, media and files in private chats or as part of communities called "servers."
In 2017, they were valued at 160 times revenue of $10M
Wouldn't you've wanted to get in on that action?
You couldn't. Private company.
Why were they valued so high?
Potential...
As they grew and took in more revenue the valuation dropped to 30x
That's what happens as companies mature
When you really can consider getting in is before that happens
To make the math simple, if Verb revenues are $10M today and they lay out of plan of world domination
