I wouldn’t worry about Pfizer and a fast finish. See clinical study https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT043687...amp;rank=1
They are an ethical company and the key take-a-ways are:
Study Design
Study Type : Interventional (Clinical Trial)
Estimated Enrollment : 43998 participants
Allocation: Randomized
Intervention Model: Parallel Assignment
Masking: Triple (Participant, Care Provider, Investigator)
Primary Purpose: Prevention
Official Title: A PHASE 1/2/3, PLACEBO-CONTROLLED, RANDOMIZED, OBSERVER-BLIND, DOSE-FINDING STUDY TO EVALUATE THE SAFETY, TOLERABILITY, IMMUNOGENICITY, AND EFFICACY OF SARS-COV-2 RNA VACCINE CANDIDATES AGAINST COVID-19 IN HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS
Actual Study Start Date : April 29, 2020
Estimated Primary Completion Date : June 13, 2021
Estimated Study Completion Date : December 11, 2022
I doubt they will risk their credibility by rushing any trial protocols.
Also their vaccine is based on RNA with its own set of problems https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2639-4
Personally, I see mRNA and Ii-key like a Ford Model T and a Rolls-Royce. Sure the Model T was first and it will get you from point A to point B, but which one would you rather drive/ride in? We will probably still have another year of mask wearing and social distancing. So play it safe, be smart and stay healthy!
