viruses mutate every year and experts have already stated multiple times that covid will never go away. So therapies will ALWAYS be needed. Plus while 90% is much better than they anticipated the sample size is laughably small. We also know it will take months or a year to get enough vaccine for everyone, what happens if there is a major mutation by then making the vaccine only 40% effective?
