In the UK the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, MHRA, has recently issued important specific guidance on home testing. Find it in full here.
This summarises the situation “ No home testing kits have received a CE mark and there are no antibody testing kits available in the UK for home use . A CE mark is applied by manufacturers to devices which meet the requirements of medical device regulations. This means it is currently illegal to supply antibody tests for use by members of the public in the UK

This is why the millions of kits being supplied by Innova tried and tested " have " to be done by a professional..it is the law !!
Those recent articles forgot to add that most important part.Maybe the political opposition in the UK is behind these articles trying to make Boris " Moonshot " plan look bad..just a guess on my part but that is typical in politics everywhere.
