They're doing things optimally for their own purposes. You're confusing them with a management team that's interested in increasing value for shareholders.

I think the ship may have sailed. While they were probably first to market with anit-keylogging software, they never really figured out how to capitalize off of it. And when the plan they developed didn't work, instead of changing course, they've dug in their heels.
