The FDA reminds me in some ways of the FAA. Old, corrupt, unable to adapt to a situation or new technologies.
At least the FAA finally recognized the danger inherent in the 737Max and grounded the fleet.
The FDA seems to be more concerned with CYA than saving lives. “But we’ve always done it this way” must be their mantra.
