A lot of science is more evolutionary than absolute and that’s where I think the debate is. The science of Covid in March is different than where the science is today. Dont wear a mask in February and March by experts became wear a mask is a must starting in the summer is an example ..Also the problem with consensus science is the majority thinking isn’t always right . To get a bit archaic here but at one time it was believed by the majority the earth was flat until proven wrong. On the other hand , Einstein’s theory has held up over the years time and time again as people have tried to disprove it.
Science around food has been all over the map on what’s good for you and what is not just over the last 20 years. Science leaning heavily on complex models predicting timeframes for climate change impacts has not proven to be consistent over the years...
So as techniques , technology, and other methods improve , so will the science but debates in the science community behind closed doors can be like a food fight. what Dr Patterson put out there about Covid made alot of medical experts hair stand up and seriously doubt his beliefs based on his studies ? As time goes by he will be proven right but in certain stages of events and studies , science can be inaccurate as anything..
