Perhaps someone on this board has posted the cost savings associated with LL as a monotherapy for HIV.
Its a bit complicated, I think.
Standard antiretroviral cocktail costs about $10k per year for one patient, I think. It is relatively cheap.
So just comparing on the annual costs will not yield a $50k annual price for LL.
However, the standard antiretroviral cocktail is associated with more expensive diseases over long term use.
How is drug pricing determined in the UK?
Is drug pricing included in the approval by the MHRA?
Since the UK has National Health Service, MHRA approval does not mean anyone will use it unless the price has also been negotiated with the National Health Service???
