I'll summarize what I know and think about the Dr. Yo Posts:
It all comes down to availability. I think they both feel LL is the better treatment over maraviroc as it has less side effects but since it is not approved it is next to impossible to get for non-critical patients. Also when LL is approved I believe it will first be used for S/C patients over longhaulers as there will not be enough to satisfy the demand and S/C would be the highest priority.
They are both trying to help people where there is no or very few current solutions and if it takes something other than LL they will do that. I doesn't mean they have given up on it.
