How do you know that the seller isn't a channel partner?

I guess that's a moot point, seeing as none of them apparently pay StrikeForce anyway.

It could be for a partial year, at which time, when it elapses, the renewal would have to come from the company at the usual price.

I haven't seen any restrictions on this sort of activity. Apparently you are within your rights to buy it for one price, use it for a while, then sell it used. Not a great testament about the product, though.
