CD12 inclusion criteria select severe and criticism. Even if a smaller percentage are critically ill, the larger number of infected maintain a large population of patients at imminent risk of death.
The ongoing challenge is having trial sites in areas of high infection (apparently getting easier as case numbers rise seemingly everywhere) and enrolling patients (as Dr Lalezari noted should be easier with the demonstration of remdesivir uselessness).
