Cytodyn should have been granting right to try.
After reading the Right to Try law, Right to Try is solely at the discretion of the drug company. After receiving patient consent the physician sends a Right to Try request directly to the company and the company either grants or denies it. The FDA has no involvement.
Companies may be skittish about granting Right to Try due to potential liabilities or potential violation of the law. We know leronlimab is safe and if patients are severely ill and can't be transported to a trial site Cytodyn would not be in violation of the law.
