The FDA's involvement may not signal success for leronlimab. It may be that there has been enough previous good indicators for LL in covid, like EINDs and what not, that the FDA thought it a good idea to take a close look.
The FDA's involvement may be nothing more than a signal that the FDA is developing a pandemic protocol for promising covid therapeutics, because they certainly do not have one at this moment.
I would certainly agree that the FDA's involvement suggests that, protocol wise, the FDA is leaning towards some sort of approval for drugs that can be shown to be effective therapeutics.
If true, Seethamraju's comment shows the FDA is taking a very close look. No reason to look closely unless you are considering some significant action. If this scenario is correct, If CD12 has good results the FDA will do something.
