I’d love for this to be true, as I can think of no other reason for the FDA to be involved than that DSMC felt the study should be halted. But I lean towards scepticism. The comment struck me as an offhand remark from a physician who may not be fully aware of the trial protocol or the significance of invoking the FDA at this stage and simply meant to point out that the data is being evaluated. I’m hoping to hear good news in coming days, but I’m prepared to be patient.
