Another article (medrxiv pre-print) noting persistence of symptoms in Covid-19 after resolution of viral infection (long haulers).
The authors note symptoms (SOB, cough, etc) in 75% of patients 12 weeks post infection, even though spirometry is normal.
Il-6 elevated in less than 5% of patients, but D-dimer (coagulopathy) elevated in 31% and CRP (systemic inflammation) in 25% of patients.
I have no strong conviction that leronlimab will help these patients, but worth exploring. I'm also very curious what Dr. Patterson's cytokine assay may reveal about these patients. I have been unable to find a more detailed description of the inflammatory/cytokine profile of these patients.
