This makes zero sense, to doctors, scientists, researchers, patients and to the FDA. The idea that any experimental drug that’s safe should get EUA for COVID without efficacy isn’t based on logic. If your idea for EUA approval was in practice by the FDA, the therapeutic market would be flooded with treatments for COVID patients and the majority of them would give no benefit (they’d only be safe to take). You’d actually be hurting patients by providing them an EUA drug with no proven benefit.
