There is a high probability that IPIX is right on the cusp on really making a splash in the world of medicine with Brilacidin. Like you, I am OK with taking whatever time is necessary to bring it to bear with all needed testing and validation, checking and re-checking.
I am frustrated, though, that there could be agents purposefully trying to hinder the rapid progress of getting it into human trials for reasons beyond the pale of civilized people.
As much as I respect Dr. DeGrado and his genius in creating defensin mimetics, I am somewhat surprised that he hasn't been able, thru his lab at UCSF, to make it any better known than it is since he arrived at UCSF in 2011 and his lab originated. Just goes to show even revolutionary thoughts in medicine move slowly.
I am now in an "when it moves, it moves" mode and don't worry when we have periods of silence. We are getting short and Brilacidin will be the drug that will propel defensin mimetics and IPIX forward.
