Yes, Don, I agree your point of view suggests the interim analysis deaths is closer to 45.
With 220 enrolled on the day of the ASM, and 50 deaths overall, deaths 46-50 (quantity five) in patients 196-220 (quantity 25) is 20% mortality for patients 196 and up.
Nevertheless, I still think the deaths overall are less than 45.
Pourhassan is blinded as to how many deaths are inside the interim analysis.
Pourhassan does know SAEs, and that includes deaths.
So I think the death number inside the interim analysis is lower than 45, but you are right it is probably not as low as 35 because that leaves too many deaths for patients 196-220 as you describe.
