My crystal ball says your crystal ball should clear up in about a week. A few days after October CD12th. Your crystals are rock solid, JLang. It's starting to look like this winter flu season could really thin the herd out, making room for many companies to prosper with useful treatments.
Then it's the less-populated Southern Hemisphere's turn at the fall-winter flu season.
It may be a few years until a really good vaccine is found and the cycle of misery for humanity and prosperity for the more efficacious therapeutic makers and their lucky shareholders would probably go on until it's found.
I sure don't see us sheltering in place until that day it's eradicated or controlled. If humanity survives, this will make a great documentary some day for people who didn't live through it.
