What I am referring to is the tweet containing this: “Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge.” Not “don’t worry about it”.
Again, with due respect, I doubt you know much about crisis leadership. Your messaging would make me more afraid, disincentivize me going to work or to restaurants or retailers or school, which leads to more unemployment, alcohol and drug use, depression, domestic abuse, assault, murder, suicide, and more. Reminds me of the basher tactics designed to sap hope and faith.
As a coach, leader, father, my message is suck it up. Believe in Gods love for you come what may. Don’t quit. Get your butt out there and beat this thing (team, challenge, whatever). The man’s leading our expectations, confidence, perseverance. Not recklessness. Gee whiz, gimme a break.
