They've announced that they HAVE added Remdesivir to the treatment.
We know that Remdesivir is not particularly effective in the early stages of COVID. It is only effective when people have moved to the "moderate" (really sick but not intubated) stage. This is worrisome. Either he's a lot sicker than they are admitting, OR, they're giving him Remdesivir now in the hope that even though it's not very effective at early stages, it's better to try everything.
