Yes, they were using the Abbott rapid test I think, at these events.
It is an antigen test and not one hundred percent sensitive, especially at low levels of virus. It is supposed to be for diagnosis, not screening. It doesn't pick up the virus until one is symptomatic and I think they all had a false sense of security due to it.
One would think that government leaders, especially POTUS and his inner circle, Senate, Congress etc would use more sensitive tests.
