If Regeneron does the trick (for now) it would good to see (for the sake of the health of first responders and even the broader economy) an EUA. If we have something go up and if you have invested waiting for a catalyst to return the economy you will do well.
It makes sense (given how early they are at the infection stage) given the role the cocktails does - a bit of anti viral, a bit of cytokine fighting. If they were moderates (and not mild) maybe the decision would be different as its a different problem.
Remember the Pres is a special case - he gets tested daily. So he has early detection on his side. If only we all could - but that is probably not going to happen realistically. So he was always going to be a mild case to start with. It will depend how the illness progresses.
For LL - we are still in there - its a long way to the end folks. Just in the USA alone, if we assume a 60% infection rate to get herd immunity (if there is such a thing) thats about 190MM people will have to get this virus. And just like the cold or flu - we will all get it. Today we are at 7.4MM cases. So that difference in cases - how many of those will be Moderate (not mild)? That might need a different approach (ie. is it a viral disease by then , or is it more of an immune disease - thats where test kits like DrBP's comes into play - to give the right treatment for the right problem).
On a final note - here is why people complain about poor execution. Business is all about execution. An average idea, well executed will generally beat a great idea poorly executed. Good news, at least we have allowed the BOD to raise about $75MM for pay. Thats going to help trails go faster for sure.
