I could be completely wrong on this but, my understanding is that at the early stages of detection CYDY will essentially disable it's ability to progress further. Yes, a Vaccine is designed to ward off infection but isn't always effective because of it's MOA and at the other end, is not always adopted by the general public, because they feel you are giving them the disease, in a desire to establish immunity organically. i.e. My daughter, a nurse will not take a flu shot.

Vaccine drug development if not universally adopted.,. still leaves part of the herd to infect. Hence the "any ounce" comparison.
