HCQ has a low, but not insignificant risk of clinically significant QT elongation, which has a disk of sudden death from ventricular fibrillation
Haloperidol (antipsychotic) and tetracycline have similar risks.

IMO, the bigger issue with HCQ was how aggressively it was pushed as a panacea ahead of the science, which has now impeded the ability to find an appropriate role, assuming that is is beneficial for some.
