You are probably right. We should remember something though, we are trying to "hit" a very low p-value of less than 0.005.
IF we need to finalize the trial the p the number we have to meet is "only"
0.05, a much easier proposition.
If we have a good interim the approval is almost guaranteed as 0.05 will be MUCH easier to meet.
So, I say, we are in a good shape provided we get good numbers soon during the analysis.
