Are people really thinking about this compensation issue correctly?
If Nader is awarded 5.5 million shares now, which amounts to about $18 million, doesn't he have incentive to grow the share price to, say, $20/share? That would be about $110 million. Are people saying they would rather wait to reward the principles in the company after they bring home the bacon to that degree?
I can see people balking and screaming, "Oh, that's too much to give Nader. Let alone the MANY MORE millions for others' compensation."
It is like compensating with $.30/shares back in 2019 rather than $3.20/shares now. Did the principles have the incentive to get us to where we are now?
Nader is obviously incentivized - he paid the Samsung bill out of stock sale proceeds and incurred a capital gains liability for that. Does he deserve to be paid back for that so he can sell or hold more shares for $20/share?
Sounds like incentive to me!
What about incentivizing the new hires? Do you give them stock now or tell them they will be rewarded later, trust us!
I still think envy keeps raising its ugly head in this debate. "Less money for someone else means more money for me. Beggaring my neighbor makes me richer." I have no sympathy for that kind of rationalization. I say distribute the incentivizing shares now and let's get on with the real business of rolling out Leronlimab!
