Very good point. The train would have stopped already. The government would not have continued to dedicate resources to Brilacidin if it looked to be a dud. One of BARDAs goals is to address pandemic influenza so I would not be surprised to see a grant and trial for influenza as well. We could have trials for both and the season is upon us to easily recruit patients.
