Contracted Out Military Tanker Business Sector Update - September 27, 2020.
4 x ex-Republic of Singapore Air Force KC-135Rs - retired after they were replaced by a fleet of A330 MRTTs - have just been allocated FAA serials numbers as follows:
N569MA, N571MA, N572MA and N573MA
which indicates that they have now been bought for use by an US company.
They are currently registered by the Wilmington Trust - which is one of the Top 10 institutional banking institutions in the USA.
These KC-135Rs are dual-method "flying boom" and "hose-and-drogue" tankers and therefore suitable for both the 2021 USN MAC and any later US TRANSCOM contracts.
