I’ve been thinking that maybe the official funding announcement coming from the Feds is held up because of their accounting. The fiscal year for the federal government runs from October 1st to September 30th of the following year. Having dealt with that for more than 2 decades I can see a scenario where there wasn’t enough left in the FY 2020 budget and someone in the decision making process decided that funds would be allocated in the following FY. It happens all the time in government and the money has to be spent in the FY it is allocated for. In extenuating circumstances it can be carried over to a following FY but can NEVER be used before the FY it has been allocated for.

I think we see fireworks in a few days. Lots of government announcements of covid initiatives using FY 21 money coming and the federal checking account replenished with a good sized check for IPIX. Like I said before, Uncle Sam will be our first customer and our best!
