The proof will be made with the long haulers trial. Either leronlimab works or it does not.
Steroids are used so ubiquitously, that I cannot believe physicians are not already utilizing them for long haulers. The long haulers symptoms seem very similar to post-Lyme/chronic-Lyme for which treatments are still insuffient.
Like most of medicine, if the patients are better with leronlimab, the diagnostic exams and expectations based on current understanding of long hauler physiology will have to adjust to catch up to the reality of successful treatment.
