Reminder, it takes 18 months for a new, untested item to get into the DoD procurement system from the day you get your foot in the Pentagon's door.
How many continuing resolutions (CRs) have we had to the Federal budget where no new items unless deemed mission essential can be ordered?
How do you think a Government shutdown affects the procurement system? How long do you think it took from phase one to phase two? Now you know why things take years. Just getting DoD interested enough to even consider our defensive software took time and effort by activist SHs!
