I agree about managing expectations.

The $6M of revenue has been mentioned a number of times like it's a fact. The fact is Solofire, is a private company that doesn't report revenue. Unless it was in Verb's filing, no one knows what it is. The $6M being banted about is coming from owler, zoominfo and others that make those numbers up. Same with the number of employees.

As far as Twitch, I don't even think partnership is the right word or program

"The Twitch Partnership Program is for those who are committed to streaming and are ready to level up from Affiliate. Twitch Partners are creators who stream a variety of content, from games, music, talk shows, art, to just about anything else you can imagine."

In the Twitch world, it likely would be called an extention that 3rd parties develop and you can see some of the companies at the bottom here:

https://www.twitch.tv/p/extensions/

In the Microsoft world, VERB joined the partner program and they have different levels ranging from zero cost up to ~$5K

Sometimes the fee is waived for companies that they really want to partner with, which was the case with Oracle who waived the $3K fee for Verb to become a partner.

When you become a partner, those companies invest time and resources in you. Why wouldn't they? They have everything to gain by having solid partners and new products to co-sell

Even says so on the web page:

"Investing in you"
"The resources, programs, and tools we offer help you train your team, build innovative solutions, differentiate in the marketplace, and connect with customers."

https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/

Salesforce is similar although I think their fees are higher.

In addition the application and fee, there are other docs you need to fill out. The process takes a few weeks.

Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ)

Compliance Certification

While it doesn't explicitly say it, you can tell they don't allow dingdongs to become members
