Just a word about NASDAQ extended-hours trading:
I think most know that major exchanges like NASDAQ have extended trading hours. Anyone can trade during these pre-market/post-market times, but you MUST USE DAY ORDERS!
GTC and similar long term orders will remain live, but will not execute during extended trading hours. It doesn't matter if your GTC order is a sell at $2 and the extended hours trades are going off at $8....your GTC orders will not fill outside of regular market hours.
It's frustrating when that order should have filled, but then you realize it wasn't a day order. I learned the hard way, so you don't have to!!!!
Something to keep in mind anyway. GL
