Well I hope you know I am a doctor and ex-molecular biologist. My most recent conversation with Dr. Patterson, the researcher that brilliantly, described MOD, originally separated two phases: infectious and immunologic. Now he believes in 4 phases, the last being the long haulers. They have an immunological disease without the cytokine storm but with a greater similarity to auto-immune disease which could potentially be treated with traditional medicines used for this disorder, i.e. steroids. Of course time will tell.
