I could see the FDA weasling out by saying something like, "the UK approved LL based on NEWS2 parameters and we at the FDA use different parameters; when CYDY meets those, we'll approve." And then when pressure comes to follow the UK, they suddenly are close enough to the parameters. Not trying to sound like a conspiracy whackjob who just fell off the qanon bus here, I just trust the FDA (and the rest of the US gubmint) deeply.
