In answer to "Is there money to be made with these international patients?" - it is my understanding that their purpose is to offer protection from IP infringment and in doing so prevent loss of revenue rightfully due the patent holder. If infringment happens, and litigation is successful, damages could be awarded. The patent could also be sold generating income. In SFOR'S case DSS could be a potential licensee (generating royalties) or buyer if they are interested and that's a big if IMHO.
