Re: ace thompson #71687
Last week I went to my church to signup and pay for a course. Like everything now a days its on-line with Zoom. When I looked at the application it asked if I was taking it on-site or by Zoom. I was a bit confused and asked the person running the course if on-site was an option. She said no, quite a few people do not want Zoom are their own computers, so, they come to the church to take the course using Zoom on church computers. I said doesn't that defeat the purpose and she yes but she said Zoom is a disaster, all kinds of problems. They also run a school on-line with Zoom.
So, I asked if her staff would like to demo SafeVChat a new, secure version of video conferencing and she immediately said yes. I asked George and Mark if they would set it up and they said yes. Yesterday the demo was held, I attended along with 6 staff from the church, and it was very impressive. George did a great job and Mark joined in to highlight. The slides summing it up were good. The reactions and questions by the church staff were excellent, they were very excited. If, they could buy it now they would.
Our church has 2500 families, our diocese has 135 churches and 700,000 members. I believe once the product is for sale, which I hope is soon, it will do exceptionally well. I encourage all on this board that if you know a company, church or an organization that is using Zoom to ask for a demo. They like a crowd size of 5 max to have a better focus but can take on more, they are still taking input from users prior to beta....
