That statistic is called the "excess death rate" and there are hundreds of articles about it. This one is over a month old so it is not the current count, but it is a good starting point with a good grqphic.
About a week ago I read an article that mentioned that the excess death rate for the U.S. thus far this year was 212,000 deaths.

Do a search for "excess death rate" and you'll have your choice of lots or articles that are more recent than this.
