Hmm. I have listened to podcasts for many years. They are very informative in that they give a large cross section of people a platform where they can say things that they might not say if they could be easily be identified. I remember listening to several podcasts including Freakonomics Radio and various NPR podcasts. In those broadcasts in early 2017, I heard several federal government bureaucrats interviewed. These unelected bureaucrats who apparently hated Trump more than they loved America and who were being paid with my taxes pledged either to quit their jobs or to “slow walk” any rule/regulation/action that they perceived would allow the government to function smoothly during Trump’s term of office. I believe that most of these corrupt, unelected, job secure cowards chose to remain in their cushy jobs with wonderful tax payer funded benefits instead of doing the honorable thing of resigning and finding a job where they could honestly do what they were being paid to do.
The longer it takes for the FDA to even acknowledge the existence of Leronlimab, the more suspicious I am that the corrupt, unelected job secure cowards are “slow walking” anything that will really help to bring Covid-19 under control because they see it as a positive thing for Trump. Unfortunately, in my opinion, their cynical and unseen actions are seriously injuring and even killing people. This is not the fault of capitalism. Instead, it is what you would expect in a socialist or anarchist society where the privileged few can override the majority and their rightfully elected representatives including our President. It is the “Resist” movement advocated by the poor loser who has, through her call to resist, fueled a hatred of the constitution and all that it promises.
I have no doubt that BP companies are not excited by any other company that they perceive as a competitor. That is a capitalist effect. That is healthy. It is not healthy when governmental regulations are used to suppress one company in favor of another. We see this over and over when one company is favored over another for reasons other than one being better than another. When unelected bureaucrats use complex regulations to bring about their personal agendas we have a problem that has nothing to do with capitalism but instead is a symptom of a anti-competitive, anti-excellence, pro-elite social and economic system. Everything about Trump is competitive, excellence oriented, and anti-elite so I think the fact that Trump has not talked about Leronlimab means he has not been informed about it in a meaningful way. His office is bombarded by millions of ideas every day. There are gatekeepers to what he hears. The FDA is a primary gatekeeper relative to Covid-19 therapeutics. I am not convinced that everyone in the chain of people who pass data along to the President want to “fast walk” to him information that is about something that could seriously control the disease since it would be perceived as helping Trump. I have been in management. I have seen how one or two poorly functioning people in a chain dependent process can seriously slow things down.
As a whole, I am not a conspiracy theory person. I am not even a big fan of Trump. But I desire the world reach a good set of solutions to deal with Covid-19 as quickly as possible. It feels at times that some selfish people are using the current crisis to bring about their own political agendas instead of what is good for humanity. I sincerely hope I’m wrong.
