Seems a bit redundant to me. Why put any emphasis on the P value if you're not going to trust it. P=.02 is supposed to mean it's 98% likely that the results are not due to random chance. If the methodology was sound what's the point of a phase III?
I guess we can let a thousand people die a day while we investigate that 2% doubt.
