Yeah I confirmed with TDA that TOS and the mobile trader app run on different servers. They are trying to get everyone to use TOS, however they are still updating mobile trader. In fact, they have a TV commercial with the TDA guy in an airport with an Asian couple waiting to get on a plane. One of them is using TOS and the other is using mobile trader. So why advertise mobile trader? I like mobile trader better for quick trades and charts and options. TOS I go to for option charts (mobile trader shows the stock chart and not the option). Also mobile trader does not update the average cost of a position in real time. If you already have a position from a prior day, and you add to it to average down, the average cost does not update until the next day. However TOS is updated in real time. Also they told me that TOS gets all news immediately. Mobile trader is hit or miss which makes no sense.
