I am of the opinion throw stuff out and see what sticks.

I am also looking at some smaller yet respected publications. It is easier to find email addresses directly to journalists who write for such publications. I am trying to read some of their articles so I can see who would be interested based on what they have previously written.

So wide net and also specific targets.
