Sounds like the brokers could be having to follow up on some sort in inquiry being made.
I have Schwab also and will be on the lookout for a similar contact. That was certainly a crazy day.
I had a limit sell for a 1K at $10 that unbelievably triggered, then a stop loss that dumped a couple thousand at $6.50. Then, while I changing my soiled shorts, I bought back double number of shares what was sold that day near bottom. So that day I got a 2-fer on shares.
Then I just recently did a "backdoor conversion" from S/D IRA to Roth when things were down to about $4.25. Gotta take my crystal ball in for a tune up since it didn't tell me about today.
