The bad actors are deals he did "many months of due diligence on", so you can't say he has had to deal with them, since he did not if he did not do the deal.

That's like buying a piece of wood from home depot. Picking it up, you know it feels light. You heard that there has been bad lumber lately from home depot. Yet you since buy the board.
