Aside from the theories about the FDA intentionally delaying us, the only rational I can come up with for a phase 3 trial would be to in fact increase the size of the trial, as the size of the Phase 2 will undoubtedly be criticized.

I think there is a reasonable chance that NP is incorrect about doing another small trial, but I have no way to know that.

In a normal world, a phase 3 would be expected. But we are in an unusual time, and I believe the time is now for our government to act. Not only should they give us an EUA, they should provide funding and assistance with manufacturing and distribution as needed.

We shouldn't need to partner with BP. But, absent of a clear willingness of the government to help, that is exactly what we should do.
