IMO there is no reason to entertain discussion here about nefarious people. We all know who they are, we know their names, the lies they push, the FUD they spread, etc.
All basher posts are 100% removed ASAP. But when we have replies to them, it creates an atmosphere of hostility, degrades the quality of board content, takes the focus off of the DD, and since the original post(s) that are being replied to have been deleted, it makes our board seem like a place of ridicule rather than a place of discussion.
Then we tell noobs looking for information to read the past posts. If we direct people to past posts as a matter of practice, let's keep the past posts presentable as a matter of respect, or nobody will take our board, DD, or posters seriously, IMO. Weeks from now if someone looks back at this week's posts (especially a noob), they will have no idea there were basher posts that have been removed. They will see references to bashers, name calling, hostility, etc.
If we want our board basher free, that's a two way street. They post and we remove, but if we have replies to the post(s), then replies to the replies, and replies to those replies, our board is filled with negative posts anyway from people whose intent is genuinely respectable....and the basher is nowhere in sight. But we've said their name(s) several times, maybe posted a few pop shot GIFs, and had an entire discussion about them, and again, their post(s) has long been removed. This cycle can be avoided by not replying to basher posts.
Another situation is, if a mod removes such a post, sometimes the person whose post was removed will take it personally and send a complaint....often to Mikey, who is already extremely busy....and want the matter investigated.
Folks, replies to basher posts are subject to removal as Off Topic. It has nothing to do with any mod gone rogue, or someone having it in for someone else. Bashers are not the topic, focus, subject, or target of this board. Mods are responsible for keeping Off Topic posts off the board.
Deletions are not reversible. If you've had a deletion that you feel was unfair, the proper way to address it is to go to the deleted posts section of your profile and double check the post against the published Hangout rules ( https://investorshangout.com/termsandcondition ). If you feel the post does not violate any of those rules, and you want to proceed with the report, please TAKE A SCREENSHOT of the post(s) in question and include it with your report. Reports of this nature without a screenshot cannot be investigated. A screenshot is the only thing the mod reviewing the report can base a determination on, as mods have no other way of viewing removed posts. Any mod can take such a report, but again, keep in mind that our friend Mikey is extremely busy, so any other mod would be better to contact for things of this nature. It is impossible to investigate a removed post when the inquiry is something like: Hey who deleted my post?, or Why was my post deleted? We can't investigate that. We need the screenshot please.
Lets keep the focus of this board where it belongs, on UNVC, and pay no mind to the handful of people who want to bring us away from that subject. This is the board for UNVC longs, and IMO we greatly outnumber those with negative sentiment. Let's keep the focus of our board on positive UNVC discussion!
