Peptide T. It is a strange world. I was talking to my yoga teacher yesterday, telling her about leronlimab and its imminent success for covid, a drug originally developed for HIV. She comes back asking me if I was familiar with Candace Pert’s neurological research on HIV receptors and her drug development. Uh, no I was not, As a result, I am now reading Pert’s book Molecules of Emotion. Very interesting. I also wikipediaed her drug Peptide T. Did anything ever become of this drug? It also works on the CCR5 receptor. The description wikipedia gave of the phase 2 trial seemed to show it was great for treating some things but not others. Was this research just dropped or is Peptide T actually in use somewhere? I know there are a lot of HIV researchers out there. Does anyone know what happened to this research? Also, never underestimate the knowledge of your yoga teacher.
