Can anyone answer this... in the midst of a raging pandemic, with 1000 Americans dying *every* day, why can't the FDA adjust the # needed for interim data?
If we're almost at 180, pull the data and examine it. Why wait for 195 when the need is so urgent? The FDA seems to be monkeying with other trials to expedite things and the 195 number seemed fairly arbitrary in the first place.
So why wait, say, two more weeks for enrollment when that's 14,000 more corpses in bodybags?
The FDA is moving at warp speed like my kid eats her dinner at "warp speed."
