Thanks for the reminder of the Maraviroc safety issues. It appears that nearly all the contenders, excepting of course Leronlimab, have significant safety issues.
I am trying to retrace my investigational steps, but I am pretty certain that I read that the allosteric modulation of Maraviroc and similar small molecule disable the normal CCR5 functions, whereas Leronlimab does not.
All of this is well beyond the biology I learned in college, so I am trying to appreciate how much of a concern that Maraviroc presents as a competitor, separate from the known toxicity.
My basic understanding leads me to believe that it will be a very distant also ran, but time will tell.
